GB Liners Marches Cricket League covering Herefordshire and Mid Wales.

Welcome to our League

History
Established for the 1992 season by a dozen clubs from the Hereford and District League with the aim to improve playing facilities.

The league provides local cricket for Herefordshire and its Welsh border area. The Hereford and District League merged with the Marches in 2004 and there are now 4 divisions with a total of 42 teams representing 29  clubs.

To reflect the views of the National Players Survey we have moved all our match start times to 1pm for 90 over matches and 1.30pm for 80 over matches.

All clubs have activated their play-cricket websites and use this facility to input results and scorecards direct to the site giving up to the minute league positions and stats.

A League KO Cup is also held every year playing on a Sunday or midweek in a regionalised 20/20 format. We shall then hold a finals day at Eastnor CC ground to also mark the end of 24 years as a league official from our Chairman Mr Jim Sandford.

We thank our sponsors GB Liners for their continued support for the 2016 season and hope it will continue for the future.

Our new league website is now on stream, go to marchescricket.co.uk to find us. This will hold all the information previously contained in our Handbook such as club contacts, Constitution, playing regulations, discipline rules and league officers. There is space for adverts, a gallery for photographs and sections for Over 50's cricket, Herefordshire Cricket Ltd contacts, club contacts for social cricket etc. Please take a look and get used to it. It will not replace our Play cricket site but is linked. Play cricket will still be used for fixtures and results, player registrations, league tables and stats. The site also has on the front page an easy calculator to obtain overs lost from time lost in matches either delayed or interrupted. All the essential match day stuff is viewable in your mobile phone.
